Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. Audrey's parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on a young stage. Their support is more than enough for Audrey to thwart her initial goal of becoming a an animal scientist. A quick and successful start to success as well as a swift growth in popularity made her a promising young actor. Her career began in earnest in 1999 after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou took part in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church when she was a child and was raised Catholic. She has since gotten away from her Catholic upbringing. Along with her acting career she started a modelling career. She is also the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to popularity. The exhibition also includes a series self-portraits and a focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international recognition and popularity exploded after her role as Amelie Poulain's lead actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin of Amelie Poulain. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and won awards around all over the world. It's the highest-grossing French film to be released in the United States. In the wake of this achievement, Tautou was featured in a wide range of movies ranging from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
